MEMEs of the Week
Our Co-Author Aryan Gupta shares his likeness for gardening with us:
Nature has given us everything like food, shelter, water, air to breathe and in fact, everything one can imagine. But have you ever wondered what HUMANS have given to it in return, curse? Yes! You heard it right, lots and lots of stress in the form of numerous types of pollutants, smoke, waste material, and whatnot.Â
Every now then due to the construction of any dam, building, or any entity needed by humans, hundreds of trees are cut, the flow of water is tilted, animals are reallocated, and so on. In return, mother earth gets angry leading to PANDEMIC-like conditions we all are facing for the last 2 years.Â
Thus, being a Green Panther or a nature lover, I have opted for gardening as my daily hobby and passion from childhood. It gives me immense pleasure and great satisfaction when I do care for my plants like my own children. Watering, soiling, manuring and sometimes even cutting the weeds out from them, give the happiest feeling to me. Sometimes, I could even sense that the plants are talking to me, that lavish green leaves with beautiful color flowers embrace and energize my senses. I could even say that happiness from taking care of plants is on one side and the rest of the happiness is on the other.
If I tell you my personal experience. I have more than 100 species of plants. Ranging from green leafy to small creepers. I almost plant one new sapling in 1 or 2 months. I give them water 2 times a day in summers and alternatively in winters. Giving manure is also an important task when it comes to plants. It's like a treat for them just like us humans get during the celebration. I used to give manure with turmeric powder every fortnight with tilting of soil to provide them with nutrition and remove unwanted plants and other microbes using Haldi.Â
Here are some of the pictures from my terrace gardening which I believe will leave you dumbstruck with its beauty:
