Today our co-author Aryan Gupta wants to share some basics of ROBOTICS.
Robotics: Everything you should know
Introduction
We humans from ages are working and helping each other complete different tasks daily to compete for our daily needs. Whether it be cooking, teaching, farming, or any other activity. But have anyone even could wonder before the 20th century, that we could even use machines to complete our tasks. Machines will help us do our household chores, our office work, driving cars for us, and even cook for us.
In the 20th century, as time evolved, the human brain became more intelligent to complete and perform its daily activities. The need for non-living human-like structures with intelligence to perform a particular task similar to us increased exponentially. Many engineers worked day and night to make machines with proper human-like intelligence. Still, according to scientists, the work is in continuation, and according to scientists, and the type of intelligence we can give to machines is only 20% of the human brain. So, there is much more scope and things to achieve in robotics.
Technology and Sensors which the robots use
Technology has reached great heights in the last few decades. It was only possible due to our dedicated computer science engineers. One of the technologies which our engineers usually deploy in making robots is Artificial learning usually abbreviated as AI. AI is a way of presenting the human brain or intelligence artificially into machines.
This intelligence or the artificial brain which is given to the machines is usually done using machine learning technology, sensors, and deep learning. All these three technologies are the pillar of intelligence given to the robot.
Machine learning
It is the intelligence given or attains by the robot from the already pre-existing or historic data. It works on a particular set of algorithms and models like regression, classification, classifiers, and many others.
Deep learning
This technology works similarly to our brain neural networks. Our brain contains millions of neurons network which helps in our day-to-day thinking processes. So, artificially we try to make neurons in robots’ brains so that they can think and make their own decision just like us.
Sensors
These are the electronic components made up of insulating metals. These are made to perform certain tasks depending upon the needs and usability. Some of the sensors are light sensors, proximity sensors, distance sensors, Bluetooth modules, and many others.
